Yes, Belzona polymeric systems for gaskets and seals can be applied in-situ. Custom-made gaskets and seals of any desired shape or size can be created on the spot without the need for long shutdowns. Yet, a lot some time to allow the product to dry.

How do you create gaskets and seals using Belzona polymeric technology?

To create a custom-made gasket and seal using Belzona polymeric technology, first, apply a thin layer of Belzona 9411 (Release Agent) and allow to dry for 15-20 minutes. After, mix Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) by emptying the entire contents of the Base and Solidifier into the mixing bowl provided and mix until the material is of an even color and consistency. To cast a gasket and seal, brush a thin coat of Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) onto the inside of the mold previously treated with Belzona 9411 (Release Agent). Then, pour the remaining Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) into the mold, avoiding entrapped air, and remove any occluded air by vibrating the mold. Finally, allow the product to cure.
