Belzona 1813

A heat-resistant epoxy composite repair material for the restoration and lining of metal surfaces operating at high temperatures.
Description

Belzona 1813 is a high-temperature epoxy material able to repair and protect surfaces subject to abrasive attack at elevated temperatures up to 200°C (392°F). As well as abrasion, this 2-part epoxy protects surfaces against erosion and corrosion and is resistant to a wide range of chemicals, even at high temperatures.

Belzona 1813 can be applied without the need for specialized tools and will bond to a wide range of metal substrates. This new generation of epoxy repair material creates a seamless and durable lining. It is capable of being applied in thin or thick coatings, with no shrinkage, expansion, or distortion.

Belzona 1813 – belongs to the Abrasion Resistant Metals – Belzona products included on the Series 1000.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

To repair corroded metal with epoxy material, Belzona 1813, only apply the material to clean, firm, dry, and well-roughened surfaces. To achieve this, firstly clear away any loose contamination and use Belzona 9111 (Cleaner/Degreaser) to clean and degrease the surface. Following this, roughen the surface by blast cleaning, deeply scoring, or grinding. Degrease the surface again, allowing the surface to dry before combining the reactive components. To do this, transfer the entire amount of Base and Solidifier components onto the Belzona Working Surface. Mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform material free of any streakiness. Next, apply the Belzona 1813 directly onto the prepared surface with the plastic applicator or spatula provided. Finally, mixing tools should be cleaned immediately after use with Belzona 9111 or any other effective solvent e.g., Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK). Application tools should be cleaned with Belzona 9121, MEK, or cellulose thinners.   For more information, read the Instructions for Use (IFU):  Belzona 1813
