Description

Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal) is a 2-part composite material for metal repair based on a silicone steel reinforced polymer system. Due to its fast-curing characteristics, this repair material is ideal for emergency repair situations. It can be machined using conventional tools and provides a permanent metal bonding or rebuilding solution.

Belzona 1212 (Super E-Metal) epoxy 2-part composite metal belongs to Belzona products – Emergency Metals series 1000.

To fill holes in metal using composite repair material, Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal), only apply the repair material to clean, firm, dry, and well-roughened surfaces. To achieve this, firstly clear away any loose contamination and use Belzona 9111 (Cleaner/Degreaser) to clean and degrease the surface. Following this, roughen the surface by blast cleaning, deeply scoring, or grinding. Degrease the surface again, allowing the surface to dry before combining the reactive components. To do this, transfer the required amount of Base and Solidifier components onto the Belzona Working Surface, ensuring the correct mixing ratio is followed. Mix thoroughly to achieve a uniform material free of any streakiness. Next, for rebuilding, apply the Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal) directly onto the prepared surface with the plastic applicator or spatula provided. For repairing, spread Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal) on the Belzona 9341 (Reinforcement tape) and apply the coated side directly onto the area to be repaired. Apply a final coat of Belzona 1221 (Super E-Metal) on top of the Belzona 9341 (Reinforcement tape).  Finally, mixing tools should be cleaned immediately after use with Belzona 9111 or any other effective solvent e.g., Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK).
