Description

Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) is a 2-part, abrasion resistant polyurethane elastomer for the repair and coating of rubber components and metal surfaces and casting of new components. This flexible rubber repair material makes cost effective repairs possible and is designed for applications where durability and elasticity are required. It is easy to mix and apply by brush or by pouring without the need for specialist tools and will cure at room temperature, eliminating the need for hot work and vulcanisation.

Abrasion-resistant rubber linings are polyurethane-based coatings whose properties allow them to endure constant wearing while safeguarding the substrate beneath the coating.
The steps to apply the rubber repair system, Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer), are as follows: Clean the application area with Belzona 9111 (Cleaner/ Degreaser). If oil continues to form, abrade the surface with a suitable roughing tool. Apply a thin, even coat of Belzona 2911 (Elastomer QD Conditioner) or Belzona 2921 (Elastomer GP Conditioner) onto the surface with a brush. Empty the entire contents of the Base and Solidifier containers into the mixing bowl provided and mix for at least 2 minutes until the material is an even consistency and color. Apply the Belzona 2221 (MP Fluid Elastomer) to the prepared surface with a stiff bristle brush. Or the plastic applicator provided. Allow to cure.
